Oeno Maris Nights: Wasted Wine Club & Lobster Rolls | 21st of Sept | 5-9p

from £15.00
Sold Out

We are celebrating the last day of summer by keeping the doors of Oeno Maris open into the evening to toast some juicy glasses and taking advantage of the last days of affordable lobster!

We will be firing up the pans to serve up hand picked, hot buttered Lobster Rolls by our master fishmonger Dan and crispy Shichimi spiced Soft Shell Crab Sandos from our fishmonger extraordinaire João (‘cause they’re lush!).

There will of course be a banging wine list on for the night - we are stoked to be partnering with our friend Angelo of Wasted Wine Club for the evening to showcase his line-up of feel good wines with a conscious. He will be on hand, pouring and chatting all things sustainable wine, throughout the evening … and we will be playing his rad curated playlists on the sound system.

Swing by, grab a drink and a bite. The terrace out front will be open! Tickets are required, along with your sandwich selection per ticket (no, it’s not greedy to get both). In the event you came to our last lobster event & were disappointed by the early sell out, we won’t let that happen again! Dare I say the lobster rolls will be even better this time??

Food served from 5-8:30pm. This will be a highly attended social event. Plan to be outdoors, though indoor seating is available, first come, first serve.

About Wasted Wine Club:  @wastedwineclub

The Wasted Wine Club is an altruistic endeavour focusing on sustainability in the wine industry. It's a crazy idea, but winemakers often end up with excess wine. It might be because of a bumper crop, contracts with farmers, or simply because they haven’t been able to get the wine to market. And so what happens then? Often, these wines will be blended away, sold off for bulk, or in the worst instances, poured down the drain. Yup, you heard it right. Sometimes it’s cheaper to bin it than it is to bottle, label and ship it.

And that’s where Wasted Wine Club step in ... they take these wayward wines, curate a new wine in collaboration with a talented winemaker, and make sure none of it goes to waste! You know what to do next …

Angelo Van Dyk, the founder of Wasted Wine Club is a winemaker and wine importer, splitting his time between London and his homeland, South Africa where he vinifies local grapes under his label - Yo El Rey. Amidst it all, Angelo is also part of the team at the importer Modal Wines in London, one of Oeno Maris’ faves.
